US Military Accused of Using Nuclear Weapons to Down UFOs for Secret Technology Retrieval

The United States military and other global powers allegedly used nuclear weapons to bring down unidentified flying objects in an effort to recover advanced technology, according to claims made by documentary filmmaker Dan Farah.

Farah, who spent four years interviewing individuals he describes as high-ranking members of the US government and military, outlined the allegations during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Friday. He said unnamed sources involved in UFO recovery operations informed him that nuclear weapons testing in the 1950s was sometimes carried out with the hidden intention of disabling alien craft.

Farah stated that officials realised early on that atomic detonations produced a “ripple effect” capable of bringing these objects down. He added that the US conducted high-altitude nuclear tests to maximise the likelihood of striking UFOs, a strategy he compared to “shooting fish in a barrel”. According to Farah, the Soviet Union subsequently adopted similar tactics.

He warned that such operations risked provoking nuclear conflict with unsuspecting nations and potentially antagonising a technologically superior extraterrestrial species.

The claims feature in Farah’s new documentary, The Age of Disclosure, released this month. The film alleges an 80-year international effort to conceal evidence of alien life and to develop new technologies from recovered craft. However, neither Farah nor those interviewed in the documentary have provided physical proof of extraterrestrial material or any government cover-up.

The US government maintains that no evidence of alien life has ever been found. The military has also stated that it possesses “no verifiable evidence” of having recovered any alien spacecraft.

According to an official report from the US Department of Energy, the United States conducted 1,054 nuclear tests between 1945 and 1992. These included several high-altitude detonations more than 31 miles above Earth, as well as tests carried out in the Nevada desert. Farah claimed that unusual craft were often observed near nuclear weapons facilities and bomber bases during this period.

He also alleged that underwater nuclear detonations carried out by the US and other nations during the Cold War were linked to an increase in sightings of craft entering and leaving the oceans. DOE records show that at least five US underwater tests occurred in the Pacific Ocean between 1946 and 1962.

During the podcast, Farah and Rogan referenced recent comments from US congressman Tim Burchett, who claimed Navy personnel were aware of multiple underwater UFO bases off the US coastline. Burchett has not produced evidence to support these claims.

Farah further asserted that several senior officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, told him that the US, Russia, and China are engaged in a new Cold War to reverse-engineer recovered non-human technology. He said some UFO sightings may involve human-made craft based on alien designs.

According to Farah, Rubio expressed concern that China could surpass the US in exploiting any recovered technology, warning that the consequences would be severe. Farah also claimed that former President Donald Trump instructed current DNI Tulsi Gabbard to investigate the documentary’s allegations and determine whether information had been withheld from him and previous administrations.
