Pakistan Security Forces Kill 30 Terrorists Attempting to Infiltrate from Afghanistan

At least 30 terrorists were killed this week as they attempted to infiltrate Pakistan from neighbouring Afghanistan, according to a statement released by the Pakistani military’s media wing on Friday.

The incident took place in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, where security forces intercepted a large group of armed militants attempting to cross the border on Tuesday and Wednesday night.

In what the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described as a “precise and timely operation”, troops engaged the infiltrators and successfully neutralised the threat. All 30 terrorists were killed in the engagement, and a significant quantity of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was recovered.

“This success highlights the effectiveness of our alert intelligence network and the operational excellence of our forces,” the ISPR said in its statement, praising both the intelligence community and frontline troops for their swift and decisive action.

The military also issued a sharp reminder to Afghanistan, stating that it bears a responsibility to ensure its territory is not used as a base by “foreign agents” conducting attacks against Pakistan.

Tensions along the porous Pakistan-Afghanistan border remain high, with Islamabad frequently expressing concerns over cross-border militancy and the presence of terrorist groups operating from Afghan soil.
